Nicky has been a Senior Lecturer at LSBU since 2012, and has additional responsibilities as Deputy Course Director and Assessment Officer for the PgDip/MSc Advanced Clinical Practice programme. Her specialist topics are physiology (Module Leader) , pathophysiology (Joint Module Leader for the Clinical Reasoning module) and evidence-based practice / research. She has been active in developing e-learning resources to support face-to-face learning, and is currently engaged in an LSBU lecture-capture pilot.
Nicky is Module Leader and sole lecturer for the Physiology module, delivered in the first semester for each cohort of two groups. She is co-leader for the subsequent Clinical Reasoning module, which integrates all aspects of diagnosis, including pathophysiology. Nicky also teaches evidence-based practice, including literature appraisal and understanding statistics, on the Leadership and Research Skills module in the final semester of the PgDip.
