Dr Nadia Gaoua

Dr Nadia Gaoua is an Associate Professor in Sport Psychology and a member of the Sport & Exercise Science Research Centre.
After 8 years in ASPETAR, Qatar as a Senior Psychologist and Researcher, Nadia joined LSBU in 2014. Her main research interest focuses on the impart of different environmental conditions (heat, cold, altitude) on human performance and health. She publishes her work in internationally-recognised Journals, supervises PhD programmes within her area of expertise and teaches across all levels of the undergraduate curriculum.
Nadia was Course Director for BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science. She is currently a member of the Senior Management Committee of the School of Applied Sciences and a member of the university Academic Board.
Nadia is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Authority and central to his teaching philosophy is integrating research and practice into the undergraduate curriculum. She teaches across both the BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science and BSc (Hons) Sports Coaching and Analysis. She is module leader for Sport Psychology 1 (Level 4), Sport Psychology 2 and Sport Psychology for Coaching (Level 5) & Applied Sport Psychology and Applied Sport Psychology for Coaching (Level 6).
