Katherine Pechey is a senior lecturer in the education division in the School of Law and Social Sciences. She teaches on the Education Studies undergraduate programme and the Primary PGCE programme. Katherine previously worked in the primary sector before moving into higher education. She has an MA in Children's Literature and is currently studying for a professional doctorate in education. Research interests include Universal Design for Learning, curriculum design and transition pedagogy.
Katherine currently teaches and leads on a number of undergraduate modules on the Education Studies degree programme, including Constructions of Childhood; Language, Literacy and Learning; Equality, Culture and Citizenship; and Educational Autoethnography. She is also currently module leader of English on the Primary PGCE course.
