Georgina is currently working in a dual role as a midwifery lecturer at LSBU and Clinical Skills Facilitator at Barking, Havering & Redbridge University Hospitals Trust (BHRUT). Georgina has worked clinically across all areas of the maternity services and continues to do so within her joint role, including performing the Newborn and Infant Physical Examinations.
Georgina has an MSc in Advanced Midwifery Practice from Anglia Ruskin University and is part of the Florence Nightingale Foundation’s alumni network following the completion of the NHS70 Leadership course. Georgina’s area of clinical interest is the promotion of normality and providing women centred care. She is also passionate about providing clinical support to both student midwives and qualified midwives.
Georgina is currently working in a dual role as a midwifery lecturer at London Southbank University and Clinical Skills Facilitator at Barking, Havering & Redbridge University Hospitals Trust (BHRUT).
As part of her MSc, Georgina has conducted qualitative research to explore midwives’ experiences of using non-pharmacological analgesia whilst working on an obstetric-led unit.
Georgina is a registered midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. She is also a member of the Royal College of Midwives and a Learning Representative at BHRUT.
