Dr Helen Ismael is a lecturer in the Department of Business and Enterprise, LBSU Business School. Helen specialises in marketing with interests in marketing communications particularly advertising through celebrity endorsement. Helen achieved her PhD from Brunel University London in 2017. She has spent over 5 years in education while studying.
Since Helen has joined LSBU, she has built a passion for coaching mentoring and skills development and is a qualified coaching facilitator. Currently, she is interested in completing ILM Level 3 in Coaching.
Helens responsibilities as course director include management of staff and students as well as recruitment of students on our programs. She has been involved in creating and presenting engaging teaching materials to students on foundation courses, HND and undergraduate programs across different fields within Enterprise, Marketing and Management.
Helen is a Lecturer in Coaching, Mentoring & Skills Development and the module leader for Concepts of Management, a common first year module which we deliver to over 500 students. Helen's responsibilities include, co-ordination and leadership of the module, preparing effective educational materials to deliver high quality teaching, prepare, invigilate, mark and moderate assessments, in accordance with University policies and procedures.
Helen is the personal tutor for Business Foundation, HND and second year BA Business Management students. The projects that Helen is currently supporting second lead are: Pastoral Care and TESTA project (Transforming the Experience of Students through Assessment). Helen is supporting the Director of Education with this project and thoroughly enjoy it. In addition to the above, Helen supervises undergraduate and postgraduate students on their research projects, dissertations.

- Business Foundation Course Project
In 2019, Helen was a guest lecturer for a week at the Pôle University Léonard de Vinci delivering lectures on management and leadership and also lectured at the British University of Egypt (BUE) delivering management and leadership, advertising and public relations.
