Ayesha is a marketing lecturer with a professional background which spans government and charity communications, as well as working with small businesses. She is Course Director for the second and third year of the BA (Hons) Marketing.
Before taking up teaching full-time, Ayesha’s work included a number of high profile government campaigns, such as THINK! Road Safety at the Department for Transport, and Tax Credits for HMRC. As Head of Campaigns for Macmillan Cancer Support she lead a team which successfully campaigned for free car parking for cancer patients, a cancer plan for England and the ban on smoking in public places.
In her consultancy role, Ayesha has worked with a range of startups and SMEs, giving advice on marketing, public relations, and business development. Recently this has included working through European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Projects, providing workshops and mentoring support.
Ayesha worked with the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy to set up a Higher Apprenticeship programme in Innovation and Growth, and now takes the lead on the School of Business' work on apprenticeships.
Ayesha is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). She holds the Chartered Institute of Public Relations Postgraduate Diploma.
