Director of Education and Student Experience

 

Angela Dalrymple is Director of Education and Student Experience in the School of Business. Her role encompasses undergraduate and postgraduate education strategy, curriculum design, quality, assessment, student experience, positive education and accreditation.

The School of Business offers courses across a wide range of disciplines from Business, Enterprise, Economics, Accounting and Finance through to Marketing, Management and Human Resources. Angela’s role includes driving overall responsibility for taught provision, teaching quality, student experience, employability, academic leadership, assessment, feedback, digital learning, student experience and development across the School.

Angela’s subject specialisms are Teaching, Learning, Assessment and Feedback, as well as an original specialism in the field of Marketing. Angela is a recognised expert on learning and teaching pedagogies in the business school environment.

Angela has extensive experience in education policy leadership. She joined LSBU from London School of Economics, where she headed up the student experience and student services for the university. Angela previously held senior roles at Said Business School, Oxford University, where she was Director of Education Policy, and headed up all programme content and services. Angela previously worked at Imperial College London Business School, where she was Director of Teaching & Learning, Programme Director, Principal Teaching Fellow, and Director of Summer Schools. At Imperial she won the President’s Award for Excellence in Education and Teaching and the Dean’s Award.

Angela has led several student experience initiatives, including diversity and inclusivity change strategies, and has served on many university academic, quality and operational committees.

Angela is an external examiner at a number of UK universities, and has also worked with the Open University and the University of Wales. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), and Senior Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Prior to working in higher education, Angela served as a board director with senior roles at AT&T, Thomson Reuters and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Angela holds Distinction level qualifications from the Universities of Oxford, Liverpool, Heriot-Watt, Westminster and Henley Management School.
