Jerry Cope

Jerry Cope is Pro Chancellor and Chair of the Board of Governors. He spent 30 years with the Post Office and Royal Mail, leaving in 2003. He started in personnel and industrial relations before moving into strategy and line management. He was appointed to the Post Office Main Board in 1996, taking up appointment as Group Managing Director with particular responsibility for international businesses, before becoming UK managing director.

During his time at the Post Office, Jerry was a shareholder Director at Camelot. He was Chair of the Leadership and Change Consultancy T-three for over 15 years, and was Chair of the board of governors at Kingston University for seven years. For six years, until March 2011, Jerry was Chair of the Prison Service Pay Review Body and then spent 6 years as Chair of the NHS Pay Review Body. He is currently a Director of the English Bridge Union and Chair of the Croydon Health alliance.
