Still in the midst of a 36-hour marathon, the phone lines for the Clearing Advice Centre at London South Bank University (LSBU) are still open for business.
LSBU’s busy centre has already taken more than 5,000 phone calls from potential applicants since Clearing began yesterday, and has processed more than 1,400 applications.
The 36-hour service is due to end at 7pm this evening, but those seeking advice and guidance for Clearing can still get through to the Clearing Advice Centre on the phone on Saturday 20 August between 11am - 3pm and on Sunday 21 August between 11am - 1pm.
Seth Stromboli, Acting Director, Marketing and Recruitment, said:
“We have experienced a slightly slower start to Clearing this year given the increased number of places and university choices available.
“Early indications suggest students are being smart and heeding calls to make sure that they choose the course and university that they feel is right for them, and are not being unduly swayed by reduced grade offers and promotional gimmicks.
“We expect to be busy for the duration of Clearing as students are shopping around before making that all important decision."
