See the future

See the vision we have of our campus in 2021

We’re investing in our campus to make LSBU an even better place to learn, study and socialise. Our ambitious plans are already taking shape – here are the major changes to the London Road Building:

  • 31 August 2019 - London Road, one of the main buildings to redeveloped, is closed
  • Throughout 2019/20 – through ZONES, we’re asking students and staff on how we can use our current facilities better
  • Spring 2021 - London Road building redevelopment completed
  • September 2021 - Grand opening of London Road building

What about the rest of LSBU’s Southwark campus?

See some of the improvements that have already been made to our campus over recent years.

September 2018: The Student Life Centre was renovated, including upgrading the catering provision in the Grads Café, installing a dedicated ‘gaming zone’ and providing modern seating for students to use as space to eat, socialise or study.

September 2018: Upgraded the labs in the Faraday Wing, including adding new computers and flexible learning space.

November 2018: Opened the Passmore Centre, the home of LSBU’s apprenticeships.

September 2019: Repurposed the Learning Resources Centre (LRC) to become a dedicated space for the Business School.

September 2019: Relocated Elephant Studios to Borough Road, bringing most of the School of the Arts and Creative Industries (ACI) facilities into the one building which provides a central hub for a community of creative talent to learn and collaborate.
