LSBU's annual Year 10 Summer School is the perfect time to explore your learning potential and the world of university. The week-long, non-residential event is packed with fun new experiences that give a realistic insight into student life at a modern university.
During the week participants will make new friends with pupils from schools across London. Plus they'll meet many of our own students who help us run the fabulous mix of events we have planned. They'll answer questions and support participants during the five days.
Applicants should match their interests with one of the academic strands studied each morning. Choose from:
In the afternoon our programme of events is an opportunity to experience the social side of university. Participants can play football and basketball, join a dance class or go bowling. For those who prefer the performing arts they'll want to join our singing lessons, DJ workshops, drama classes or African drumming sessions. We try hard to make sure there is something for everyone!
The week ends with an awards ceremony and this is followed by a celebratory party. It's a great way to end the week.
There are 100 places on the Year 10 Summer School and each school will be allocated a limited number of places so it's wise to apply early.
