
If you've decided that you'd like to become a Student Ambassador then we advise you to look at our selection criteria below and then complete our online application.You must be a current student if you wish to work as a student Ambassador and be available to attend the training sessions on the 22 and 23 October. Please make sure that you will be able to attend these training sessions before filling in the application form.
All Student Ambassadors recruited in October 2011 will be required to complete six hours of on the job training which will be unpaid.
Our selection criteria is assessed through our application and assessment processes.

Please complete the online application form and make sure you give us at least one clear example of how you fulfill each of our selection criteria. Make sure you set enough time aside to complete the form as you cannot save it half way through the process. Incomplete application forms will not be processed: please do not send the form until you have filled out each section. Use around 100 words for each section.
Applications will be processed according to the criteria listed above. You will be informed if your application has been successful or not about a week after the application deadline.
Students meeting our selection criteria will be invited to an assessment centre (on the University’s premises) run by Student Recruitment. We will let you know if your assessment is successful within five working days.
Students who are successful at the assessment centre will be required to attend a day’s training which focuses on enhancing their skills and qualities; and a half day’s training which covers the University’s health and safety policies and procedures, and child protection.

Having completed the initial training outlined above, Student Ambassadors are eligible to apply to be trained on a number of different schemes, as well as top-up training in skills such as disability awareness.
