Degrees Cooler
LSBU is one of 20 universities in England to have been selected to take part in the NUS’s 2-year climate change programme ‘Degrees Cooler - greening universities and beyond through behaviour change’ supported by the Greener Living Fund, sponsored by Defra.
The project aims to reach out to staff and students over the next two years, engaging them to recycle more, use less energy, eat more sustainable local food and reduce non-essential flying .

People and Planet’s Going Greener campaign is inspired by the Transition Movement, which brings communities together to develop and implement their own responses to the challenges of peak oil and climate change.
The campaign is about students and staff at universities coming together and going greener for themselves.
