Before you arrive
After we've confirmed your place as an apprentice at LSBU and before you arrive at the University to begin your studies, follow this step by step guide to start your student journey.
Visit the Maps and travel page for details on getting to the Southwark and Havering campuses and maps of the area. Once on campus look out for LSBU staff dressed in orange t-shirts. They will be happy to help you with any queries.
Please ask your employer to contact the Apprenticeship team to review their commitments, funding and legal contracts in regards to your apprenticeship.
You will need to sign the Commitment Statement and Apprenticeship Agreement contract (via the e-signature tool Docusign), which will have been sent to the email address you used on your application form. This contract forms the agreement between your employer, the University and yourself.
You need to complete online pre-enrolment to activate your LSBU username and password to access our student portal MyLSBU. Once on MyLSBU you can access your personal course timetable.
University policies, regulations and procedures
You need to be aware of the University's policies, regulations and procedures that apply to you. Online pre-enrolment will point you to some of these and you can find all of the policies on this website. It is your responsibility to read these.
For more on navigating your way around LSBU, including the services available to you, checking in to class and campus maps, please read the Welcome Guide (PDF File 1,802 KB).
Visit the library
If you'd like to visit LSBU libraries before you enrol, bring in your course offer email and ID and you will be given an Early Entry Card to the libraries.
