He has over 15 years of work experience in the Higher Education sector and is currently working at London South Bank University as a Reader and Course Director for 3 Building Services Engineering Courses.
Steve is a Reader in the School of the Built Environment and Architecture, with particular interests in music and acoustics, PA systems, urban wind turbines, vocal stress and speech intelligibility.
Dr Datoo is Head of Civil and Building Services Engineering. He has over 30 years of experience in teaching Structural Analysis, Stress Analysis and Finite Element Modelling. He has authored a book on “Mechanics of Fibrous Composites”.
Dr Alan Dunn is interested in all aspects of low carbon building design. He has run four Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, started a company based on a patent for the co-firing of industrial waste, and been involved in many consultancy projects.
Judith's expertise is in food refrigeration throughout the food cold chain. Her current work revolves around reducing energy use and emissions, the use of novel refrigeration systems and optimising refrigeration processes.
Andy is passionate about low energy design and innovation. Having run his own successful Consulting Engineering practice for many years he is now focused on the next generation.
Aaron teaches in the field of energy and building services engineering. He is currently working on the Balanced Energy Networks (BEN) project focusing on the energy trilemma of delivering a low cost, low carbon, secure energy system.
Luis is an acoustician and academic with research and development background. His areas of expertise are architectural acoustics, noise control, building and room acoustics, environmental noise, acoustic simulation, revision and creation of acoustic design guidelines. His current research interests are in office and performance spaces acoustics, sustainable acoustic design and improvement of quality of life through the acoustic environment.
Rusdy's teaching focuses on electrical building services engineering and lighting. He is Course Director for the BSc (Hon) Building Services Engineering.
Ivana has extensive knowledge of flexible offshore pipelines, oil platforms, offshore wind turbines, concrete structures, steel fibre reinforced concrete, structural dynamics and earthquake engineering.
Simon Leung is a Senior Lecturer in Structural Design within the School of Built Environment and Architecture. He brings in experience from the industry as a practising structural engineer and offers insights to next generation of engineers.
Dr Levatti is a specialist in hydromechanical coupled problems in soils as well as in stress analysis for non-conventional structures combining structural optimisation and Additive Manufacturing.
Dr Esmail Mahmoudi Saber is interested in practical contexts of fluid mechanics and heat transfer in engineering disciplines and he conducted extensive research on application of these concepts in building systems.
Bridget's research interests include the acoustic design of schools and its impact on pupils and teachers. She became the first female President of the Institute of Acoustics when she was appointed to this role in 2012.
Kika is a Chartered Engineer with over 35 years of experience in the Building Services Engineering industry. She has particular interests in mechanical building services.
