If you're in care or have left care recently and are wondering what your next step could be then we can help. Our dedicated team are here if you're interested in applying to London South Bank University (LSBU) and you'll be offered a range of support once you're here. We've been awarded the Frank Buttle Trust Quality Mark as an institution that goes the extra mile to support students from public care.
We have developed a number of ways to support and benefit Care Leavers who study at LSBU. This includes:
If you work with Looked After Children or Care Leavers we can arrange university visits specifically designed for them. Contact Mark Ellis, Senior Manager, Schools and Partnerships for more details. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 020 7815 6783.
Our innovative Care Leaver Outreach Project, City Opportunities, which won a London Education Partnership Award in 2011, is run in collaboration with the City of London Economic Development Office. The week-long project introduces Care Leavers to opportunities for local young people in the city of London and is run three times a year.
We offer a range of learning, emotional and financial support for all our students. Find out more about how our student support can improve your LSBU experience.
