The campus, which currently has a student nurse population of around 900 as well as other health care professionals undertaking Continuing Personal and Professional Development (CPPD), will be renovated ready for the new intake of students starting in September 2011.
New and returning students will be able to enjoy refurbished and upgraded teaching and clinical skills facilities, some with bespoke teaching equipment, a new soft seating common room with WiFi and PC facilities and a larger cafe and eating area.
Commenting on the improvement works, Cathy Rowe, Havering's Campus Manager said: "We pride ourselves in offering our students the latest equipment and training facilities.
The improvement works will further enhance training facilities for our nursing degree and CPPD programmes as well as the quality of our students' learning experience at the Havering campus."
