Europe’s on your door step with staff development opportunities

The Erasmus Programme is traditionally used by students to study at an EU Partner Institution, allowing them to gain credit to their LSBU degree.  But did you know there is also a programme specifically designed for staff?  The Erasmus Staff Mobility programme allows both academic and support staff to spend a short period of time at one of LSBU’s Erasmus Partners, to teach or for professional development.

As an incentive, the Erasmus programme also offers grants to those staff members accepted, to assist with their travel and living costs while abroad. With this funding, staff have the opportunity to experience another European educational institution, and gain knowledge of best practice or at least compare practices. It also allows staff to improve the skills required for their current job.

LSBU has links with a number of partners in Europe that you can teach or train at for up to 6 weeks (minimum 5 days). The EU Exchange team is here to ensure that you are well-supported both before and during your Erasmus exchange.
