London South Bank University (LSBU) has been revealed as the best modern university in London for nursing in the Guardian University League Tables 2013.
Sports Science also came top in London at LSBU for course satisfaction and fifth nationally.
LSBU also took the number two spot for career prospects amongst modern universities in London, reflecting its clear focus on employability.
The University is investing heavily in facilities and student services to further improve the student experience, spending £7.42m on a new student centre set to open in September. A new enterprise centre, which will provide business incubation space for students, will open in 2013.
Further improvements have included the launch of the student portal 'My LSBU'; new systems put in place to support students with attendance and registration and a number of changes are being made to the way the University issues coursework feedback to students.
The Guardian University Guide profiles every university and every undergraduate course in the UK for those wanting to begin their studies from September 2013. The guide ranks universities according to The Guardian's specific criteria.
