When planning a new course, or reviewing an existing one, there is an opportunity to embrace a rich variety of learning opportunities that will provide stimulating, challenging and thought provoking experiences for learners. For a course to thrive in the current climate, the curriculum must go beyond the delivery of appropriate content and the achievement of subject based outcomes. A curriculum should facilitate learning as a transformative experience. Our key speaker, Ray Land will be sharing the work he has done in this area and the importance of threshold concepts in planning such learning experiences. The conference will also give you the opportunity to hear about work colleagues are doing in building new curricula and to explore how you use similar approaches to enhance your own course provision.
