Members of London South Bank University are entitled to use the facilities available subject to compliance with LSBU's ICT Policy.
This link will take you to the Self Service page, where you need to follow the link for Student Passwords for Windows and Unix. Follow the instructions and you will be issued with an LSBU username, email address, and password. You will also need to set a security question in case you forget your password
If you forget your password you can reset it at the same page
If you forget your security question then you will need to ask at the Library or Learning Resources Centre helpdesks to reset your password.
Please note: for security reasons your password will expire every 6 months - you will have to set a new one when it does.
The LSBU Computer Network - with your username/password you can log on to PCs on the University campus. This allows you to access the internet and use software packages such as Microsoft Office. You can also save your work to your own personal space on the LSBU network.
You will need to be logged on to a PC using your own username if you want to print your work on campus. Printing in the library costs 6p per A4 sheet/12p per A3 sheet for black and white printing. Colour printing is 50p per A4 sheet.
Blackboard - this is the University's virtual learning environment where your tutors can share lecture notes; tutorials; assignment questions; and other material about your course.
Email - you will need your username/password to access your LSBU email account
Library Renewals - you can also use your username/password to renew items you have borrowed from the library
Library Electronic Resources - our electronic resources including e-journals; databases; LSBU theses; and exam papers are available via this website for you to access 24 hours a day from your own computer. When off-campus you will need to enter your username/password to access them.
The same password is also used for : programming; ftp; remote access
