Business Source Premier [electronic resource].
Via EBSCOhost databases. Provides full-text for approximately 2,300 scholarly business journals covering management, economics, finance, accounting, international business and marketing. Includes Dun & Bradstreet company information.

Economist.com [electronic resource].
Full text of the UK edition of The Economist from 1997 onwards.

Emerald [electronic resource].
Access to management research journals from MCB University Press. The service provides access to over 20,000 management articles, with a full text archive going back to 1994.

Financial Times [electronic resource].
Full text of the Financial Times (London edition) from June 1996 onwards. Updated daily. Coverage is text only, and does not include the Companies & Markets section - for historic share prices please see the Thomson One Banker e-resource.

HMIC Health Management (formerly Helmis) [electronic resource].
Via Ovid. Combines databases of Department of Health from 1983, Kings Fund from 1979 and Nuffield Institute for Health (HELMIS) from 1984 to provide comprehensive research.

Sage Journals Online (Sage Premier) [electronic resource].
SAGE Journals Online is the delivery platform that provides online access to the full text of individual SAGE journals. The SAGE Full-Text Collections, SAGE's award-winning, discipline-specific research databases, are also available on SAGE Journals Online.

Academic Onefile [electronic resource].
Via Gale Cengage Learning. Provides full text and abstracts access to articles from journals and reference sources. With extensive coverage of the physical sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, the arts, theology, literature and other subjects.

Acompline / Urbaline [electronic resource].
Acompline and Urbaline are two complementary databases created and updated daily by the GLA Research Library. They contain details of around 400,000 documents covering all aspects of urban and social policy from the early 1980s to the present.

Amadeus [electronic resource].
AMADEUS is a comprehensive, pan-European database containing financial information on over 10 million public and private companies in 38 European countries. Includes the top 250,000 companies.

ASSIA [electronic resource].
ASSIA (Applied Social Sciences Index and Abstracts). Covers English language journals in applied social sciences. Includes health, economics, social issues & social policy, organisational behaviour and communication.

British Rates and Advertising Data (BRAD) [electronic resource].
Online version of BRAD (British Rates and Advertising Data), the daily guide to advertising media.

CommunityWISE [electronic resource].
Contains community, charities and voluntary agency information. Data is provided by bodies such as Barnados, Community Development Foundation and the National Centre for Volunteering.

EIU Country Data [electronic resource].
Annual, quarterly and monthly economic indicators and forecasts from the Economist Intelligence Unit. Covers 117 countries, with 270 series starting from 1980 and forecasting to 2006.

ESDS resource supplying access to international data.

Fame - Financial Analysis Made Easy [electronic resource].
Financial analysis of the UK's leading companies. Results of the top 1.7 million UK and Irish companies for the last ten years showing balance sheets, profit and loss accounts and other useful information. Updated weekly.

Global Market Information Database, Euromonitor [electronic resource].

GreenFILE [electronic resource].
Via EBSCOhost, Greenfile is a freely accessible research database focusing on the relationship between human beings and the environment, with information on topics ranging from global warming to recycling to alternate fuel sources and beyond. It is comprised of scholarly and general interest titles, as well as government documents and reports.

MarketLine Business Information Centre [electronic resource].

Mintel [electronic resource].
Full text of several hundred UK market research reports from Mintel marketing intelligence. Covers Market, Finance, Retail and Leisure Intelligence market report journals, plus a selection of Library Special reports, market news and some other product databases.

ProQuest Newspapers, Daily Telegraph, Financial Times, Guardian, Independent, Times [electronic resource].
Updated daily. Database of the Daily Mail & Mail on Sunday; Daily Telegraph & Sunday Telegraph; Evening Standard; Financial Times; Guardian & Observer; Times and Sunday Times; Independent. Coverage is from at least January 1998 onwards for all titles.

RefWorks [electronic resource].
RefWorks is an online research management, writing and collaboration tool designed to help researchers easily gather, manage, store and share all types of information, as well as generate citations and bibliographies.

ScienceDirect (Science Direct) [electronic resource].
Database containing over 1000 full text journals from Elsevier Science and the leading scientific, technical and medical publishers. Covers life, physical, technical and social sciences.

SpringerLink [electronic resource].
Provides online, full-text access to Springer's journal titles as well as journals from other publishers. Subjects include: life sciences, chemical sciences, environmental sciences, geosciences, computer science, mathematics, medicine, physics & astronomy, engineering and economics. Some titles are in abstracts only.

Thomson One Banker [electronic resource].
Real-time global financial data, including historical share prices, mergers and acquisitions details, company filings and news. Covers both public and private companies Data up to a maximum of 40 years back in some cases. Mergers and acquisitions data 1985- Analysis and forecasts also provided. Downloading to Excel permitted.

WARC: World Advertising Research Center [electronic resource].
WARC provides the largest single source of intelligence for the marketing, advertising, media and research communities worldwide, drawn from more than 40 international sources.

XpertHR [electronic resource].
XpertHR draws together a range of HR information from specialist journals published by Reed Elsevier and employment law resources from LexisNexis Butterworths. It includes access to IRS Employment Review and other IRS journals, plus case reports, case studies, news, analysis and commentary, policy documents and statistical surveys.

Zephyr [electronic resource].
ZEPHYR is an information solution containing M&A, IPO and venture capital deals with links to detailed financial company information.

ZETOC [electronic resource].
The database contains details of approximately 20,000 current journals and 16,000 conference proceedings published per year.

Biz/Ed Premier [electronic resource].
Provides access to 25 business and economics core textbooks and 14 accounting core textbooks. It also includes critical viewpoints, matched to specific chapter/topic content and based upon specially selected articles from popular business and economics journals and activities developed by Biz/ed's editorial team.

MyiLibrary [electronic resource].
MyiLibrary provides a faster and easier way to access collections of books, reports, journals, bulletins and other documents published by inter-governmental organisations such as the World Bank, United Nations and International Labour Organisation.

Oxford Handbooks: Business and Management collection [electronic resource].
Oxford Handbooks in Business & Management bring together the world's leading scholars to discuss research and the latest thinking in a range of major topics in business and management. Web site of the Audit Commission, the body responsible for monitoring spending in the public service sector. Useful for performance and quality information on local government, health and criminal justice organisations.
BRINT: Business Researcher's Interest
Searchable directory/knowledge map of contemporary business, management and information technology issues. Links to many full text journal articles, case studies and other resources in various topical areas of business, including knowledge management, e-commerce and virtual corporations.
British Library Management & Business Studies Portal
Online service for managers, developed by the BL in assocaition with the CMI and British Academy of Management. It aims to bring together the latest management research and business information - research reports, summaries, working papers, videos and articles by leading researchers alongside access to the BL collections. Registration required.
BUBL-Management Links
Bulletin Board for Libraries, giving subject links for management.
Chartered Management Institute
The CMI website, giving details on membership and training programmes, plus useful current news items and links to the Management Information Centre for members.

Centre for Government & Charity Management
LSBU's CGCM website contains information about current research, courses and conferences. There is a link to current dissertations (abstracts only) under the Research heading.

 

Charity Commission
Official web site containing a range of consultataion documents, guidelines, publications lists and inquiry reports. Includes the full text of the recommended practice docunment SORP 2000.
Charity Finance Directors Group
CFDG works with finance managers 'to ensure best practice in charity finance' Useful links to sector news and regulation; membership required for access to training resources, best practice guidance and newsletter.
Directory of Social Change
DSC online provides information, training and general support to the voluntary and community sectors. The website has links to charity books, events and training plus a charity centre and exchange.
