During this difficult economic climate it is more important than ever to keep a constant eye on what is available out there. To give yourself the best chance, register with lots of job vacancy websites, set up email alerts and check the websites every day.

Information sessions are now available to help you use both our JobShop and other online job boards. To register with our JobShop and then come to an information session, bring your CV to one of our quick query sessions. Click here for the times of these.

Mentoring for Success

Mentoring for Success is LSBU's new mentoring scheme which aims to provide you with the tools to succeed in the professional world.

The scheme will help you...

  • Develop networking and communication skills to improve the quality of your interaction with employers
  • Develop commercial awareness
  • Develop action-planning skills and build a personal action plan around your career objectives
  • Build your confidence for a positive impact on your job search

Who can apply?

The scheme is open to all first year students only, but is subject to an application process. There are limited places available so early application is recommended.

Jobs for the Games

You can register your details for Games-related employment on a website created by Adecco, the official recruitment services supplier to London 2012. This main site advertises jobs with London 2012 contractors and many other Games-related vacancies.

London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games 
and Paralympic Games (LOCOG)

LOCOG is responsible for staging a memorable event in 2012 and they have a dedicated recruitment site. The site has a wide range of both short and longer term opportunities related to the Games including sport, media, press, catering, hospitality, events management, IT, technical, retail, managerial, transport etc.

London 2012 Ceremonies Ltd

Is looking to recruit a committed and diverse team of people to fulfill a wide range of roles. 

Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA)

The public body responsible for developing and building the new venues and infrastructure for the Games and their use after 2012 have a new job search site.
