If you're thinking of studying with us at London South Bank University (LSBU), our entry requirements, scholarships and details of how to apply are laid out below to help you with your application.

Entry requirements

We accept a range of English language qualifications (PDF File 86 KB). Please contact the international office for further details.

Foundation year requirements

You will need to hold a High School Diploma with a GPA ranging from 2.5-2.8 (on a 4.0 scale)

Undergraduate course requirements

To apply for an undergraduate course at LSBU you need to have one of the following:

  • High School Diploma with overall GPA of 2.8 or above (on a 4.0 scale) and one of the following:
    • one year of Community College with overall marks of 2.8 or above
    • ACT exam score of 24 or higher
    • SAT exam score of 1150 (post-March 2016) with 550+ in Evidence Based Reading and Writing
    • SAT exam score of 1590+ (pre-March 2016, post-2005)
    • two completed AP exams of 3 or better
  • 1 year of Community College in relevant subject area with a GPA of 2.8 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)

Postgraduate course requirements

To apply for a postgraduate course at LSBU you need to have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University with a GPA of 2.8 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).

Visa information

As an American national you will need to obtain a student visa or equivalent to be able to study with us at LSBU. The main route for students to come to the UK to study is the student visa.
