Visa rejection or refusal

If your visa application is rejected or refused, our immigration advice team can advise you on your options

A visa application will be rejected and returned to you by the UK Home Office if it is not a valid application.

An application will be refused if, after it has been deemed valid, you fail to show that you meet the requirements of the UK's Immigration Rules.

If your visa application is rejected or refused you should contact the Immigration and International Student Advice Team as soon as possible and provide copies of your refusal or rejection letter.  An adviser can then advise you on the options available to you.

You may also wish to seek further advice from an external immigration specialist. A list of advisers regulated by the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) can be found on their website.
