Immigration and visas

The immigration system in the UK is complex and constantly changing, so applying for a visa to come to the UK or extending your visa from inside the UK can be confusing and stressful. You will need to allow yourself plenty of time to collect all the correct documents needed for an application and complete all the required forms.

The International Student Advice Team at London South Bank University can guide you through the process of making a visa application and give you advice and tips about other areas of immigration. You can book one-to-one appointments to get advice about:

  • entry clearance and leave to remain applications under Tier 4 (General) student visa
  • completing your visa application form for Tier 4 (General) student visa- we can help you to check your form and documents
  • exploring options following an immigration refusal or rejection
  • bringing your family to the UK and their visa applications
  • applying for visas to visit other countries e.g. Europe and Schengen visa
  • options for staying in the UK after your studies have ended
