Seminars and Events

Our Faculty hosts a number of seminars and events throughout the year, please check back regularly as these will be advertised with further information when available.

Private Healthcare Stakeholder event

On 13 June 2013 we are holding an evening event at London South Bank University exclusively for the Private Healthcare sector. The event will be held at our Southwark Campus in the Keyworth Centre, close to Elephant and Castle underground station, from 4.30pm-7pm.

This event is aimed at private sector training managers, Human Resources managers, Nursing/Clinical agencies and managers in control of training budgets.

The event has been designed to showcase our Continuing Personal and Professional Development opportunities and to listen to your needs for training in your sector.

We will be demonstrating why CPPD is good for business. In particular how CPPD:

  • is essential for all healthcare professionals for their registration requirements
  • is proven to assist in the recruitment and retention of healthcare professionals, and reduce attrition costs
  • enables healthcare professionals to develop their role, developing new competencies and become more independent practitioners
  • can contribute directly to service improvement
  • at degree and Master's level, can assist staff to develop skills to run and manage services independently, ultimately leading to reduced demand for medical staff and lowering budget costs

This early evening event will consist of a number of workshops where the University can demonstrate why it is the largest provider of CPPD in London and businesses can ask the Faculty teams questions. In addition the University will present its unique vision for developing bespoke provision for the private sector. The key aim of the event is also for the University to listen to business so that we can adapt or create training that meets private as opposed to public sector needs.

The evening will also give participants an opportunity to visit state of the art skills labs and on site facilities in our new bespoke K2 building.

You can register for this event here, if you would like more information please contact Peter Hadfield, Business Development Manager by email or on 020 7815 6918.
