ELQ checker

If you already hold a qualification at the same level as the one you are planning to study at LSBU you may be charged a higher fee. In September 2007 the government announced that it would begin to phase out funding for students studying for a qualification that is equivalent to, or at a lower level, than one they already hold. Our ELQ checker below is designed to give you a provisional indication of the fee rate you will be charged based on the qualifications you already hold.

If the checker indicates 'ELQ' you will be charged the Overseas fee; if it indicates 'Non-ELQ' you will be charged the Home or Overseas fee based on your status as a Home or Overseas student. Check the Home and Overseas fee for specific courses with our fee checker. LSBU is offering a discount for ELQ students beginning their studies with us in 2009.

If you do not know the code enter a keyword from the course title

Please do not type in the award of the course .ie. BSc, HND, MSc as this will return ALL the courses with the award in the title.

The search is based specifically on the keyword in the course title NOT by related subject areas. For example:

  1. We have courses with computing and computer in the title. Typing ‘comp’ will return all these courses with either of these words in but will not return all computer related courses such as Business Information Technology or ‘IT’. These would need to be searched by these specific words.
  2. Typing in ‘business’ will give you courses such as Business Studies and Business Administration. It will not return related courses such as Accounting and Finance. Again, these would need to be searched by these specific words.
