Still looking for Christmas gifts? LSBU Design Students can help!
You will be able to buy a range of useful gift and gadget items which have been designed by second year students of Product and Engineering Product Design, and then manufactured at LSBU using the University’s Digital Prototyping centre.
The project is part of the ‘Design Thinking and Practice’ module which enables students to learn about material and production costs as well as marketing, interior design, experience design and a good pinch of entrepreneurial spirit! The entire event is managed by the students themselves, with guidance from Engineering & Design academics Andrew Forkes, Barney Townsend and Robin Jones.
We look forward to seeing you there

The symposium was a multidisciplinary event, incorporating engineers, ecologists, chemists and others working at the boundaries between disciplines and acknowledging the wide variety of applied research taking place in the Thames estuary and other local systems.

Over 200 prize winners, guests and sponsors came along for the evening and were joined by many members of faculty staff. Vice Chancellor, Prof Deian Hopkin, opened the ceremony in what would be one of his final public engagements before departing LSBU. Many of the prizes are donated each year by a wide range sponsors from outside industry, illustrating the close links between many of our courses and their associated professions.

Once the final prize had been presented, the evening was rounded off with a celebratory reception on the mezzanine floor and atrium of the Keyworth Centre.
