Throughout their time with us our students and researchers take part in a number of practical assignments and projects. The work may fulfil 1 of a range of purposes including an end-of-year assessment, external competition or professional collaboration. Here is a recent example.
BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering
Employed as a Design Technician by the University of Cambridge, Cara studied at LSBU part time. As her final project she looked at a problem she was already facing at work and tried to resolve the issue of inadequate thermal comfort faced by the Faculty of History's building. Approaching it as a special project gave her the opportunity to consider and apply fresh ideas and dramatic solutions without any limitations.
