YMCA Level 3 Award in Nutrition for Physical Activity

Overview

The aim of this qualification is to recognise the skills, knowledge and competence required for an individual to apply the principles of nutrition to support client goals as part of an exercise and physical activity programme.

You will cover:

  • Applying the principles of nutrition to a physical activity programme
  • Collecting, analysing and utilising nutritional information
  • The principles of nutritional goal setting with clients
  • Providing nutritional advice in line with nationally recommended best practice
  • Nutrition

Our rates are competitive and courses are delivered by our experienced tutors, who are practical and hands-on in their approach. Training will take place in our Academy of Sport, which has recently undergone £1 million of investment.

Entry requirements

It is recommended that learners hold YMCA Awards Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing or equivalent.

How to apply

To book your place on the course, download and complete the booking form and return by email to coachingcourses@lsbu.ac.uk.

Applications will be accepted on a first come first served basis, your place will only be confirmed on receipt of full payment and completion of the application form.

Once you have returned the booking form, you can pay by card at our online store or come into the LSBU Sports Centre to pay in person.

Fees and funding

This course is normally £149 per person.
