1st4sport Level Two Award in Coaching Football
We'll provide you with the practical and theoretical aspects of coaching football, including how to effectively plan, conduct and evaluate football coaching sessions for players of all ages. The qualification is composed of eight mandatory units giving you 20 credits.
Our course is recognised as the industry standard level 2 qualification for coaching football by the national governing body for football in England, The Football Association. The FA is also the professional body for football coaches, providing services and support to those who hold this and other football qualifications.
We have the support of a range of employers - including the football associations, clubs, schools and colleges - as the sole qualification for those looking to progress their career in coaching football. The qualification is also endorsed by the lead agency for coaching, sports coach UK, as meeting its UKCC criteria.
Our course is designed to prepare coaches for employment in paid or voluntary roles as a football coach in local amateur junior/senior clubs, FA Charter Standard clubs and schools, local authority community football schemes and Football in the Community Schemes.
These courses are held within the Academy of Sport facilities at London South Bank University and at nearby outdoor venues for the practical elements.
We are University of the Year for Graduate Employment - The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018.
