
If you are a member of LSBU academic or support staff we offer training and advice on disability issues. Our Disability Guidelines A-Z in the Disability Resources section gives you information about specific disabilities and how to meet the needs of students in the teaching environments, on placements, etc.
In this section you will also find the DDS Marking Policy for assessing coursework and exams of students with Specific Learning Difficulties or other relevant disabilities, the university's new Fitness to Study Guidelines,and guidelines around recording lectures and Late Submission.
This site also offers advice regarding the Equality Act 2010 and disability awareness training (see below).
Disability Awareness Training
As well as providing online resources for Disability Guidelines, Disability and Dyslexia Support provide training as a series of workshops for other members of LSBU staff.

Student Inductions
DDS are often invited to give an introduction to the support available during course inductions sessions for new students. If you would like to make student support a feature of your induction please contact us a minimum of two weeks in advance.
Tailor Made Training
In addition the Disability and Dyslexia support team can provide tailor made training sessions for groups of staff on a particular area of interest. Please contact us on 020 7815 6405 to arrange a discussion with a Disability Officer.
