We are currently working with the Third sector Research centre and the Voluntary Sector Studies Network on two forthcoming conferences. One is planned in conjunction with the University of Paris, Sorbonne. Professor Alex Murdock has been made an Associate Research Fellow of the University of Postdam in Berlin. We are associated with panels at leading conferences in 2013 and have a number of book and journal publications forthcoming.

Welcome to the CGCM
The Centre for Government & Charity Management (CGCM) brings together
the research track record, practitioner experience and innovative
practice in postgraduate teaching of two groups within the former
Business School; the Centre for Public Services Management and the
Centre for Charity and Trust Research. The merger in 2002/2003 between
these two groups (founded in 1992 and 1993 respectively) confirms and
consolidates our long history of joint working. It occurs at a time
when public, voluntary and community sector boundaries are being
tested and explored as never before. Also when partnerships across
these sectors carry distinct and demanding challenges for the managers
who come to study with us.
We offer a full range of Civil Society
Management Courses including charity finance and accounting, and
charity marketing and fundraising courses. There is an independent evaluation of our fundraising courses on the Guardian Website:
