The aims of this unit are

  • To provide a knowledge of protein structure.
  • To provide an outline knowledge of the human genome and how its structure was uncovered.
  • To acquire an understanding of the mechanisms and prediction of protein folding, and assembly.
  • To acquire an understanding of the concepts and methodologies, theory and applications, economic and commercial viability and current and possible future applications of protein engineering.
