Expected Learning Outcomes

 


On successful completion of this unit you should be able to complete a range of tasks exemplified by the following:


• Demonstrate an understanding of the kinetics of enzyme-catalysed reactions.
• Describe how enzymes can be used in the laboratory and industrially.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the mechanism of enzyme action.
• Demonstrate a critical appreciation of the preparation and use of immobilised enzymes.
• Demonstrate an ability to describe the kinetics of immobilised enzymes and enzymes in non-aqueous solution.
• Possess an awareness of the current applications of enzyme technologies.
