    Centre for Information Management & E-Business

    Head of Centre: Prof. Dilip Patel

    The centre constitutes a multidisciplinary approach to studying a range of social, economic and technological issues. It aims to contribute to the promotion and better understanding of business IT, information management and health informatics.

    Business IT focuses on the combined application of new technologies and innovative business models to enable organisations to embrace new technologies and work practices. Within this context research is carried in the following areas: Organisation behaviour, Project Management, eBusiness models & rules, Knowledge management, Sustainable workplaces & workplace design, and Digital Society

    Health informatics focuses on the use of information technology and the management of information in the context of nursing, health and medicine. The areas of research include the following: Ethical use of information in the context of healthcare; The analysis, management and synthesis of information and knowledge with the healthcare system; Using information science and information technology principles for modelling and designing healthcare systems.
