AHS Law Department lead team in the annual London Legal Walk

In order to raise funds to support two Access to Justice projects, a new Law Centre in Zambia and the LSBU Legal Advice Clinic which is opening in September, staff from the Law Department have organised a team to take part in the annual London Legal Walk.

The walk takes place on Monday 16 May with the LSBU team leaving Caxton House, the future home of the LSBU Legal Advice Clinic, at 4pm and heading across the river to the Royal Courts of Justice. The 10km walk leaves from the Royal Courts of Justice at 5:30pm.

The LSBU Legal Advice Clinic will be a community-based face-to-face advice centre based at our Caxton House building on Borough Road and is scheduled to open to the public in September 2011.

The Clinic will greatly expand the number of placements available to students, as well as develop further existing links with the local legal profession and benefit the local community by providing free legal advice.
