Development Studies Course Director gives keynote address at UN Conference in Beijing

Professor John Taylor, MSC Development Studies Course Director, spoke at a conference in Beijing organised by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the global development network of the United Nations (UN) responsible for advocating change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life.

The aim of the conference was to finalise documents making recommendations from the UNDP to the Chinese Government on poverty reduction strategies for the Government as it designs its forthcoming 12th Five-Year National Plan. Speakers were invited from many countries, and from Chinese Ministries and the State Council.
