Tourism

Our tourism graduates usually find employment in fields directly related to their course. Past students have gone on to take up roles as Assistant HR Managers in hotels, hotel manager posts, travel consultants, tour operators, as well as in airline and events management.

All over the world, our graduates are involved in creating and running tourism and hospitality businesses helped by our specialist degree. Year after year the course continues to be one of the UK’s top tourism degrees as measured by The Guardian newspaper. We have been chosen as the official Higher Education partner degree by the Organisation for Tourism and Hospitality Management and a major London partner by the Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality because of the course’s vocational nature.

Planning and housing

Qualifications in the planning and housing sectors can lead to a wide range of careers. Many of our past and current students hold key positions in their organisations and professional bodies, often as senior managers and business owners.

Currently there is a national shortage of qualified town and environmental planners in the UK so the demand for our postgraduate courses is particularly high. If you’re interested in housing as a career you could find yourself working in private and social housing or the maintenance and management of public, private and commercial buildings.

Surveying

Our planning graduates are open to a wide range of careers including professional consultancy offices, government departments, planning control and local planning authorities.
