Msc Education for Sustainability

James Ewane

I took a Post Graduate Certificate in Environmental Education as a first step in furthering my career development in this field. Three years later I began working for the Mount Cameroon Project. I then took a Post Graduate Certificate in Managing Sustainable Projects, but even this did not give me sufficient capacity to undertake the entire range of my work that my present post entails.

Before starting on the programme, I hoped that the MSc Education for Sustainability at South Bank would increase my abilities and improve the quality of my work when I return home. This has proved to be the case.

The full time course is intensive, naturally, but the materials given to us (the same as those provided to those studying by distance learning) greatly facilitate the learning process. And not only do the students on the course come froma variety of backgrounds, providing views from different parts of the world, but so do the tutors. Their variety of expertise provides and extremely wide range of views on the subjects covered.
