Highly regarded for our expertise

Our experience can benefit a wide range of organisations at both local and national levels

Example projects

We have undertaken a number of consultancy projects in recent years, drawing on our expertise in a range of areas, including initial teacher education, education for sustainability, and curriculum development.

Regional Centre of Expertise for Education for Sustainable Development

In 2010 we were awarded the lead role in the Regional Centre of Expertise (RCE) for our experience in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).

Coordinated via the United Nations Education for Sustainable Development Programme, an RCE is an active and diverse network of people and organisations striving to promote ESD in their region/local area. Each RCE creates a regional/local knowledge base for supporting ESD action, and promotes four major goals of ESD:

  • re-orienting education towards sustainable development
  • increasing access to quality education
  • delivering trainers’ training programmes
  • leading advocacy and awareness raising efforts on sustainable development

We lead the London RCE and using our work in the Centre for Cross Curricular Initiatives (CCCI), and our MSc in Education for Sustainability as a rich source of expertise.

The London RCE partners with a large number of organisations, including: WWF-UK, Fairtrade, Oxfam Education, Tower Hamlet Humanities Education Centre, Sustainability and Environmental Education (SEEd), and London Sustainability Exchange (LSE).

Knowledge Transfer – Trinity College, London

In 2010 we started work on a four year knowledge transfer project with Trinity College London, a leading provider of respected international qualifications across a range of disciplines in the performing and creative arts, and in English language learning and teaching. Transfer of expertise in distance learning pedagogy is at the centre of the partnership.
