Throughout their time with us our students and researchers take part in a number of practical assignments and projects. The work may fulfil one of a range of purposes including an end-of-year assessment, external competition or professional collaboration. Here are some recent examples:
BA (Hons) Digital Film and Video
On the back of his undergraduate film portfolio, Mic, an LSBU graduate, has been offered a place to study editing at the National Film and Television School in London and has seen his final year independent film project on the big screen at the BFI as part of our 2010 graduate showcase.
BA (Hons) Digital Photography
The opening night of the Digital Photography students' end of year exhibition took place in The Rag Factory, just off Brick Lane and was a massive success pulling in a considerable crowd of family, friends and fellow artists.
BA (Hons) Digital Photography
In response to a creative brief, students created an installation for LSBU's Perry Library. The project explored the genre of the photobook.
BA (Hons) Music & Sonic Media
This is an exploration of the possibility of staging the first live music show from the edge of space. Inspired by the dawning of the era of space tourism and after hearing about Richard Branson buying the X-PRIZE winning spaceship in 2004 Joshua felt we are now in a race with several groups around the world to gain exclusive rights to be the first to create such an event.
