Careers

At LSBU we take the future employability of our students very seriously. We think it's essential that all our students are prepared for the world of work, whether they are pursuing their first job, undertaking continuing professional development or taking their career down a totally different route. We also prepare students for the complexities of today’s portfolio careers, combining employment with self-employment and freelance creative practice.

Employment in the media and creative industries continues to flourish. Our graduates have an excellent track record securing jobs in the creative and cultural industries as well as collaborating in setting up flourishing companies of their own. They go on to be involved in all aspects of the sector, including content creation, production, management, education, policy and distribution. Some of our graduates have forged careers designing computer games and two recent AME graduates have gone on to work for one of the world's game publishing power houses, Electronic Arts.

Digital Photography graduates have established successful studios and are working for clients such as Ralph Lauren and NME. Others have entered the gallery scene - curating and presenting exhibitions. Numerous graduates have gone on to postgraduate study or trained as teachers, with others choosing to work for charities and the not-for-profit sectors.
