The demand for places is normally greater than the number of rooms available. Consequently, the University has an allocation policy in order to prioritise applications. International students who are attending the University for the first time are guaranteed accommodation, if applications are received by the Accommodation Service by 1 August. Priority is also given to those 1st year students attending the University for the first time (undergraduates and postgraduates) and who live furthest away from the University.
Once you have an offer to study here you can apply for your place in one of our residences
A limited number of places have been allocated for students studying at the University for a single semester. Students should contact the Accommodation Service for further information.
The University has a number of bedrooms that have been adapted for use by students with disabilities. It is recommended that any student with special needs contact the Accommodation Service or the University's Learning Support Officer to discuss their particular requirements.
LSBU does not have any accommodation on campus at Havering. However, students studying there have the opportunity to apply for purpose-built accommodation in Romford, Essex.
The accommodation is provided and managed by the Swan Housing Association and has been checked and recommended by LSBU. It has recently been built for key workers based at the Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. Find out more about using Swan Housing whilst at LSBU.
