Research & Business Development Office

Our Research & Business Development Office (RBDO) provides a clear focal point for any organisation wishing to access the University's knowledge, expertise and facilities. Examples of specific business partnerships include the London Knowledge Innovation Centre (LKIC) and Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs).

LKIC

LKIC is a joint collaboration between the University and Business Extra, the London Borough of Southwark's business enterprise agency. It provides advice, support services and incubation space for innovative hi-tech and knowledge-based companies to help them build a successful business and reach their customers. KTPs

RBDO facilitates KTPs which offer substantial grant funding, expertise and resources to companies seeking to improve their business performance over the medium term. Interested companies identify projects that will advance their market position and with our academic support we can help them:

  • improve existing products or services
  • develop new products or services
  • streamline manufacturing or service process
  • increase logistics processes
  • develop a marketing strategy
