Tamzin Dawson has been a Senior Lecturer in Children's Nursing in the School of Health and Social Care, London South Bank University, since 2012. Tamzin qualified from St Bartholomew's School of Nursing and Midwifery in 1993 as a Registered General Nurse and in 1996 as a Children's Nurse. Since qualifying, her clinical experience has mainly been general paediatrics and Paediatric Intensive Care, within the NHS.

Tamzin has a Masters degree in Teaching and Learning in Higher education and is currently completing her Doctorate at the University of Exeter. She is a registered nurse teacher with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Tamzin Is currently a part-time Clinical Educator in Paediatric Intensive Care in a large London NHS Trust and a part-time senior Lecturer at London South Bank University.
