Kathy is a Senior Lecturer in Architecture, Professional Skills Lead and RIBA Part 3 Course Director.

Kathy is a chartered architect who has who has combined her professional experience with developing and leading professional practice studies in architectural education at Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 levels.

She has extensive experience in design and construction across a wide range of project and business sectors in the UK, Europe, the Middle and the Far East, and draws on this to inform the study of professional practice issues.

Kathy specialises in the teaching of ARB/RIBA Part 3, and is the Course Director for the RIBA Professional Practice Part 3 course and examination, and the professional skills lead for professional practice studies at Bachelors and Masters levels. She participates widely in architectural education, including at the Royal Institute of British Architects and at a number of Universities throughout the UK.

The focus of the Part 3 course and examination is to equip students to integrate and combine professional competence and integrity, commercial and personal self-awareness and understanding of risk, and to be able to demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skill, understanding and judgement with respect to all aspects of the Professional Criteria at Part 3.
