Dr Jacqui Lawrence is a Senior Lecturer in the Division of Psychology and Course Director of the MSc in Addiction Psychology and Counselling. Her research interests are concerned with affect regulation and the role that this plays in the onset and maintenance of addictive behaviours.

Jacqui has a first degree in psychology from Goldsmiths College, University of London and an MSc in Counselling Psychology from the University of East London. Her doctoral studies involve exploring a potential synthesis between self-medication and cognitive theories of addiction which has both theoretical and clinical implications.
