Duncan joined the Board of Governors in August 2017, and is also a member of Audit Committee.
After graduating from the University of Southampton with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1985, Duncan joined Price Waterhouse (later to become PricewaterhouseCoopers) where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
During his 31 year career with PwC, Duncan gained experience of working with a wide range of international and UK-based businesses and industries including financial services, automotive, imaging technology and social housing. In the late 1990’s Duncan spend a period of time working in the USA with two of his major clients.
For the last 17 years of his career with PwC Duncan specialised in occupational pension schemes, and during this time worked with many of the largest and most innovative pension schemes in the UK. For the four years leading up to his retirement at the end of 2016 he was the partner responsible for leading PwC’s UK Pensions Assurance Practice.
Duncan has two daughters, both of whom have recently completed their university education.
